Customize 2.0 Beta Frequently Asked Questions

1. How can I download the beta version of Customize 2.0?
Click on Register in the navigation bar of this page, and Sign up for a new account. Make sure you enter your serial number exactly as it appears on your phone/touch.
1.1Customize crashes right away, what should I do?
Install SUID Lib Fix under Utilities. You can safely install this on 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 even though it only says it is for 1.1.3.
2. When I try to open Customize it only displays the splash screen and then quits. How can I fix this?
You need to make sure the permissions on the Customize files are set correctly. If you don't know how to do this, use this tutorial.
3. When I try to apply themes or file sets in Customize I get a cannot copy files error. What should I do?
Make sure your permissions are set correctly (see question 2) and also install the SUID lib fix in installer. It's in BigBoss' source under Tweaks (1.1.3). This will work for both 1.1.3 and 1.1.4.
4. When I apply themes or file sets, my changes do not show up. What's wrong?
If you are applying wallpapers, see question 5. For other images, see question 3.
5. My wallpapers don't work, what's up?
Make sure you have installed SummerBoard before you apply the wallpaper. Then once you do apply the wallpaper, make sure your SummerBoard theme is set to Customize and you have "Wallpaper" and "Theme Wallpaper" turned on.
6. I did all this, but I still have problems. What should I do?
Register for the Customize 2.0 forum and post a thread describing your problem in the Beta Testing sub-forum.
7. How amazing is SpicyChicken?
